Welcome to my collection of portfolios for my Fashion and Textile Management – Product Development work at North Carolina State University’s Wilson College of Textiles.

Fashion Product Ranging at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, Spring 2025 – Bold By Nature

For my Spring Semester of 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. In my Fashion Product Ranging class, I was able to learn more about the fashion industry in a variety of different cultures across the globe and I was able to work behind the scenes in product development with a well-known Australian brand, Caprice, and their parent brand, Mambo. Throughout the semester, we worked with Caprice’s team to help them develop products as they expand their brand from Australia to New Zealand. We worked in groups to create our own collections that would we would present to their team at the company’s headquarters on a monthly basis and receive feedback on our work. Within this project, I was able to work with other students from France, Germany, and Australia, to create the following collection that you see below, Bold by Nature.

FTM 271 – Champagne Problems

During my Spring Semester of 2024 at North Carolina State University, I curated my first CAD collection, Champagne Problems. The themes, prints, and concepts of this collection are some that are very near and dear to my heart as it was the first collection where I was able to showcase my styles and aesthetics. The term “Champagne Problems” is often associated with the idea of those dealing with first world problems who are perceived as if they shouldn’t have anything to complain about and do not deal with struggles and hardships. It refers to issues or troubles that are actually the result of privilege, success, or luxury, and therefore not true hardships in the grand scheme of things. However, the phrase has become more well-known in a deeper emotional context through the music of Taylor Swift in which it alludes metaphorically to emotional or personal breakdowns that seem small to others but are big to you, adding more emotional depth to the phrase.

FTM 317 – All Things Pink

My FTM 317 portfolio is one of my earlier works that I completed during my Fall Semester of 2024 at North Carolina State University. This collection is titled “All Things Pink” as it showcases a variety of styles for young women who enjoy bright colors and nightlife. It is inspired by the aesthetics of cultural icons such as Paris Hilton and the staples of their lifestyles.
