My family

2021 Christmas Card Pic :))

Not your typical dynamic, but definitely loved and appreciated more than most.

My dad basically works four jobs, but not because he has to in order to provide income, but because he enjoys it. He enjoys staying busy, he enjoys helping others(all his occupations have to do with public service btw:), he enjoys keeping his brain sharp and strengthening his knowledge and understanding of others, he enjoys the learning opportunities that it provides for him. That’s the cool part. Most people tell you to pursue a career that you love because if you don’t, you won’t be happy for the rest of your life. So I guess we can say that my father took that to a different level because he somehow, with our good genes of multi-tasking skills, he continues to do all of the things he loves, even whether it’s officially one of his jobs or not lol. Good for him though right? GO DAD!! He’s 51 and still kickin’ it. Let alone, his life is pretty impressive. He has a twin brother, my Uncle Kev, and an older sister, my Aunt Kathy, who I just absolutely admire. Uncle Kev went to NCSU and then pursued med school, so now he’s everyone’s family doctor and Aunt Kathy also attended NCSU, ended up receiving her Ph.D. in economics, so now she runs her own CPA firm as an accountant(providing me a summer job with her before my senior year :)). My grandmother passed away when I was twelve, but for as long as I knew her, she was an incredible and poised woman. However, my dad’s dad passed away when they were only infants, so none of us really had much recollection of him, other than what grandmother had relayed to us. Both of my dad’s siblings have children of their own and my cousins are seriously THE BEST EVER. I love our family and everything we provide for one another. I am literally so proud of my dad, how much he has grown throughout his life, and everything he has accomplished. Although I don’t aspire to grow up and be exactly like him, he is definitely the ultimate role model for anyone pursuing their future dreams. Dad and I are extremely similar, to the point that it almost feels like we have the same brain sometimes lol. Growing up, dad always told me he wasn’t really sure what he wanted to do with his life, but most of us aren’t, so that is totally okay, but still to this day, he’s pursuing what brings him joy and the things that he loves that truly make a difference in the lives of others, so that is pretty awesome :))

stuff my dad wrote about his family when he was around my age ^^^

My mom went to Meredith College of Raleigh and now she teaches Kindergarten at my old Catholic primary school in Goldsboro, North Carolina. We’re also very close with her family, but there are just fewer directly related members. For the most part, it’s the four of us, my immediate family, and then my two grandparents, Emily and Bill who are precious and sweet. We have a good amount of extended family on both branches of my mom’s parents, but we mainly spend our holidays with them to catch up and exchange important life events with one another. Both of my grandparents have two siblings, who both have extended families of their own, so we try our best to keep up with everyone because I, especially, love them all very very much. My mom had an older brother once, but unfortunately, he passed away at a very young age in a boating accident when my mom was only twelve years old, so I never had the joy of knowing him. Although I’ve heard great things about him, we are always blessed to have and cherish the connections to our loved ones who have passed on in Heaven through those who knew them prior. just like my mom and their childhood friends :). My mom and my brother have A LOT in common overall, but mom and I are still super close even though my dad and I are the ones who are most closely aligned with one another. I am super thankful to have a mom who is so understanding, humble, and kind.

me and mom :))

Ahh, now for my brother, William Jackson, the one who really thinks he has it all. Lol, I’m kidding, I would never actually talk bad about my brother, well, kinda kidding at least.

Jack is definitely pretty great. He’s my best friend, my number one go-to guy, and he’s really just someone I can all-around trust. Sure, we have our moments just like all siblings do, but we are so incredibly close, that we eventually get over all of our “arguments” enough to acting like we love each other again. We basically grew up the same I guess. Same schools, same parents, same families. So were alike in some ways, but also very different in other ways. Like I said, he’s a lot more like my mom, so he’s very intact and collected, but ya know, just not as creative as me haha, but that’s okay too. He attends Wake Forest University right now and is currently working on applying to graduate school to pursue his Master’s degree in public health.

Oh, and we absolutely cannot forget my beloved, Snoop Dogg.

He’s a beagle. We adopted him from triangle beagle when he was four years old. He is currently about twelve years old and he’s literally the cutest sweetheart ever!!

Beagles are very sensory-oriented so Snoop is very protective and gets distracted very easily lol but that’s part of the reason why I love him SO MUCH!!!

I’m going to continue adding to this page, but hi for now :))

My ADHD experience 💜💜

If you’ve been here a while, you probably know some parts of this story already, but I thought I should officially share it in its own light here:))

“Mentally-gifted superpower?” Uncontrollable thoughts. Amphetamine. unnoticed and often highly underestimated.

It’s easy to see in boys. Young boys are known to be hyperactive, jittery, playful, disruptive, somewhat more innovative and creative, rambunctious, etc. Girls are different. Although it is still the same condition, many things are different. Many of our symptoms or side effects are swept under the rug or they are seen as “unladylike” and “immature”. First of all, away with the double standard of mental health between genders!!! Second, ADHD is way under-diagnosed in girls overall simply because society teaches us to hide it. Third, because we lock it up away so often, it usually only grows stronger and more powerful than we could possibly imagine. Now, that’s pretty cool.

Hi! Today is January 15, 2021, I was officially evaluated two days ago and I think it went pretty well ;)) I think one of the most powerful responses I gave them was when I said “I’ve never doubted that I always have and always will have plenty of people there for me, but it’s just that I’ve never really met anyone who truly understands what’s going on inside my head, ever.” Then they proceeded to ask me to elaborate and explain why.

I’ll make sure to update this section as I proceed and grow further on my journey!! For now, I hope you’re all doing AMAZING :)))
