Accomplishments, Involvement, Giving Back, etc. :))

I’m a long-term Girl Scout, a technology coordinator for my church youth group, active participant of Habitat for Humanity, Warm the World, Coats for Kids, FBCMO gratitude fund, Days for Girls, PassportMissions, president of my school’s diversity club, teen political campaign assistant, and overall activist for many worthy causes. I love to travel and explore the world learning about all of it’s amazing people and places. I’m very interested in advocating for those in need and giving back to my community. I’m a has-been of Distinguished Young Women of North Carolina and scholarship recipient of the DYW Be Your Best Self Program. Most funds will go to support and education for the charities and nonprofit organizations that I work with on my free time. I use these donations to contribute to mainly local causes and a few overall awareness sources. Not expected but appreciated :))

The Importance of Technology and Education

Ahh, the controversy over the topic of women in stem. If you are interested in how we can build, nurture, and mentor a female Elon Musk, let me know/contact me and I’ll get to explaining how we have the mental power to change the world 💜 (this is seriously something I could talk for hours about lol)

I feel like many people seriously underestimate how smart girls are sometimes, when in reality, we are just socially taught to not share or display our intelligence as much as guys lol. I mean that’s cool and all, but there’s definitely some smart girls out there too, and we have innovative and creative ideas that are meant to be shared. For me, there’s not a whole lot of girls who are interested in engineering or economics, so I definitely want to represent the female viewpoint and perspective, but I also want to change the lives of others for the better. By doing so, just by simply sharing our own ideas, thoughts, and experiences, we can provide so much insight to those who would’ve have never known otherwise. Innovate the Industry with the Beauty of Creativity :))

Why (I think) relationships aren’t a very smart idea right now…

Young, Smart, and Fun.

Thriving in my own light. I mean I don’t want to sound selfish or anything, but it simply doesn’t make any sense to me to seek, find or even look for a committed relationship at this point. There’s too much going on!!! I get so excited pondering and dreaming about the outcomes of my future, that for the most part, there’s simply just no time to settle down or commit to a single person. Yeah, yeah, crushes and young love is fun at surface level, but on the other hand, right now, there is basically absolutely nothing holding me back. I’ve never felt so free, happy, and let alone optimistic in my entire life :))

I LOVE LIFE!!!

Unless just the right person happens to walk into my life unexpectedly, I really don’t have any desire to find a “soulmate” or even a “short-term partner” like no thank you lol. It’s just not logical or practical for me right now. If you’re anything like me, now is not the time to get caught up or feel restricted by any sort of “significant other”. It’s the time to better yourself, focus on your own goals, live how you wanna live, and grow into exactly who you dream to be!!!

Awareness and Activism

ADHD and Autism. Although I have never been personally impacted by autism, I deeply empathize with the ASD community due their slight similarities with ADHD. As a learning disability, both struggle with moderation of interest and occasional sensory issues. However, communication tactics within both disabilities are nearly polar opposites. The recognition, awareness, and appreciation is much needed for these conditions as they impact many of us while still going unnoticed or under-diagnosed.

College

Honestly, senior year of high school is super stressful, but really only if you make it out to be, and I’m just so excited to start the next phase of my life. Don’t get me wrong, I love where I grew up and where I came from, but I’m ready for a fresh start. I applied to 10 different colleges and I hope to study finance, law, business, or engineering in my near future. I have an older brother who attends Wake Forest University who has been a great role model for me over the years. I plan on joining a sorority, multiple clubs and organizations, and becoming as involved as I can in my community in college just as I have done throughout my life. Hopefully, I’ll be attending NC State next year, but stay in touch to see how it goes.
